Arthropod Armada is a side scrolling shooter. It plays like the old school NES Gradius or Life Force. It's got very addicting game play just like those games. Collect power ups that change your bullets to fireballs or spread type formation. If you kill enemys in chains you get bonus points. A meter on the bottom of the screen shows your chain bonus. There are bosses at the end of each level.
